FAQ's Recital Week Information

Welcome to Recital Week practice, please pay attention to the
following announcements, which should help answer most ???’s and
keep the week running smoothly for everyone.

1.  Drop Off  for all dancers 5th grade and younger is at Room #3 in an orderly fashion! A backstage helper will escort them to their seat in Room 5. Pick Up after the show 3, 4 and Kindergarten dancers will be waiting in Rooms #1 & 2 for pick up. While, 1st - 5th grade dancers will remain in Room #5. During pick up, parents must follow the flow of traffic through the rooms and not back out to avoid confusion. Please help us by sending one person for each student during these times and understand that it is impossible to do this quickly if we are dealing with scores of people backstage. After the show the stage curtain will be open to provide the perfect place for pictures.

2.  Only Backstage Volunteers and dancers, will be allowed backstage or in the dressing rooms. These dancers need to report there immediately the night of the show; dancers are not to be running outside the Civic Center, around the gym, or in the front lobby.  We need at least two backstage moms per 3 year old, 4 year old, Kindergarten and First grade class for both shows.
Backstage volunteers get a spring t-shirt for all their help!!

3.  Student who have More Than One Costume Change should organize costumes on hangers with headpiece, tights, and other accessories. Label shoes and costumes with masking tape to avoid confusion.

4.  Students using Rental Studio Costumes and accessories must return these immediately following the show. All students are responsible for checking them in and will be charged in full for any missing items. Younger students need to bring a change of clothes (for the Christmas Show only) in the costume bag, already marked with their name to make changing easier.  Spring T-shirts will be put on your dancer on Recital night to keep them from being left or lost.

5.  No Food or Drinks in the gym or in the dressing rooms. Snacking is ONLY permitted in the lobby or Rooms 3 & 4. Please also remember to take your trash with you as you leave.

6.  Cellphones should be switched to vibrate or silent, since they can be very distracting to the younger girls as they are dancing on the stage.   Please make sure your older dancers understand that problems with phone usage in the dressing room will result in them being taken up and release only to the parent.

7.  Account Balances must be up to date, including past due tuition and costume fees. Angela Allen will be located to the left of the stage, she can assist you with financial matters and tickets.

8.  Reserved Seat Tickets will be located with Angela Allen at the left front of the stage.  If you would like to buy your general admission tickets  ($3 early and at the door) this week… instead of at the door the night of the show, she also has those for purchase during practice times this week.

9.  For the Safety and Security of all our dancers NO ONE will be allowed to leave the show early on Thursday night. There will be public safety officer at both studio doors to provide extra  support to our backstage moms. All students must remain backstage until after the program. Parents please DO NOT come to the dressing area during the show. If you must leave, please do not plan to participate. This rule is for your child’s safety and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation. If you child’s class is sitting in the gym watching the show, she must remain with her class. We need to  keep the girls together in a group. Please, please do not ask us to make an exception for you.

10. The FREE Pre-show will once again be on the Tuesday night at 7:00pm. This is a great chance to come and watch our 3rd ~ 12th Grade Tap, Ballet, and Jazz Students perform in full costume. This show times out to 1 hour and is absolutely FREE!! Avoid all the parking and seating chaos that Thursday night brings… we do ask that you are courteous and allof our older attendee to enjoy the floor seats.
