                     Staying One Step Ahead

TO THE POINTE

Mark These Dates...

The studio will be closed for Thanksgiving Break on Wednesday, November 26th & Thursday, November 27th. Do note that when classes resume on Monday December 1st, costume fees are due!!  Your costume will not be ordered or reserved until you have paid your fee(costume fees are listed on the Tuition and Fees page of this website).  Recital Week starts December 8th, please refer to the Recital Information page on this website for exact times and dates.

If the shoe fits ...

The studio ask students who are taking multiple classes like Tap & Ballet and Jazz to make sure and check their bags each week to ensure that they have the correct shoes for ALL their classes.  If your dancer has outgrown their shoes please make sure to check our gently used shoes board at the studio.  If by chance none of those fit, do not simply wait for more to come it...make sure to visit B & B Leathercraft locally, All That & Jazz in Griffin, or BoBo's in Macon to purchase a new pair.

Coaches would not allow players to wear flip flops on the soccer, football or softball field and we will not allow it in dance either.  Student will be calling home and sitting out of class if they do not have the proper footwear on.  This is not only for their safety but also for the growth and educational purposes of dance.

Seeing Stars ...

We are already starting to see some super star dancers at the studio!  Remember each week teachers and helpers will be looking for students with good attendance, a great attitude and the correct attire to represent their class.  And at the end of the month all of those name will go into a hat... with one name to be drawn for some special STAR STUDENT TREATMENT!!

ASOD Weather Alerts...

Lately we have watched as unstable weather conditions have moved in and out of our area, throughout mid-day and into our earlier dancing class times.  Please be aware that the studio weighs both the risk of getting out on the road, as well as missing class time before making any decision to cancel a class.  We work in connection with the Civic Center and Rec. Department staff to make a call that will be the most beneficial for all involved.  The last thing we want to do is put a dancer or their family in harms way.  Should weather conditions change while your dancer is in class, please do not attempt to come get them from class.  Let the weather pass first.  For the most up-to-date class cancellations, please call the studio line (706)647-2725, civic center (706)647-9691 or re-visit this website.  Thank You!!
